BBC earth experience, south wharf

We watched a whale shark swim towards us, listened to the call of a prairie dog behind us, beside us heard the soft foot falls of a hyena stalking its prey, and shuddered while thunder clapped above us as a tornado formed...

Did Mamma just get back from the wild? No, we went to the ✨ new ✨ BBC Earth Experience - a Melbourne exclusive 360-degree, immersive documentary! Travel the globe as David Attenborough talks you through the animals and vegetation of each continent. A doco-lovers dream!

The experience runs on a loop and you are encouraged to take a seat or a beanbag and soak up the incredible visual spectacle. You can expect the same thrilling footage that BBC documentaries are renowned for. Enchanting, awe-inspiring, fascinating, and mesmerising.

After the main event, the experience continues with some more video of Micro Life, Cute Life and Water Life. Arachnophobes beware! There is also a video room dedicated to creepy crawlies!

As your experience is almost at an end, you will be led through to a small cafe and gift shop where you can get some fun photos taken and emailed to yourself with an image from the documentary. Plus, you can add your photo to the virtual photo wall!

Then finally, you will be left standing under the incredible sphere of Planet Earth surrounded by twinkling stars as David Attenborough implores us all to not just think about doing something, but to stand up and do something to save our planet:

We can do it.
We must do it.
Then, there will be a future for the planet.
