SPQR pizzeria, liverpool st

SPQR - it’s a pizzeria straight outta Naples. And when in Naples (kinda), ya just gotta eat pizza! Let Mamma tell you hot, sourdough wood fired pizzas don’t come much better than at this very Melbourne restaurant. Not only is it tucked down one of our famous laneways, it’s also adorned with street art.

This is the kind of haunt that is amazing for a lunch or early dinner with the kids, or a late night pizza party with some mates, where the feast is accompanied with great music.

Aside from the great vibes the food here is simple, and simply delicious! Select from red or white base, but whatever you choose you can’t go wrong. It’s all scrumptious. Even the leaf salad is out of this world! Mamma enjoyed a calabrese and wood fired gnocchi - divine! Oh! The gluten free pizza bases are unbeatable.

A full bar is available and of course there’s desserts. The tiramisu was perfection and the Nutella pizza with strawberries had the kids licking their plates. Mamma highly recommends this restaurant if you want to eat the best pizza in town.
