mabu mabu, federation square

The folk at Mabu Mabu bring Big Esso, an all-day bar and kitchen, bringing Indigenous food and culture to, Melbourne’s CBD. This places celebrates the diversity and flavour of Indigenous Australian foods.

The menu offers some delicious options and both Mamma and little Miss 7 were excited to try something different. We loved the saltbush and pepperberry fried crocodile and the saltbush damper with golden syrup butter. But Mamma’s favourite was the purple yam and cassava terrine, quandong chutney.

Bring Indigenous flavours into your kitchen with some goodies from the Mabu Mabu store. Their small batch teas, spices, and sauces made with Indigenous and tropical flavours and sourced from suppliers who are passionate about Australia's Indigenous food industry.
