Triceratops: Fate of the Dinosaurs opens at Melbourne Museum March 12

Hold on to your horns dino lovers. Horridus is ready to be unveiled at Melbourne Museum from March 12, 2022.

The world’s most complete Triceratops will be making itself at home in a new exhibition Triceratops: Fate of the Dinosaurs. The experience will show us what life would have been like in the Cretaceous period, introduce us to the other creatures alive during the time and see the world’s most complete and well preserved Triceratops fossil ever discovered.

Horridus is a huge discovery in the palaeontology world. It was originally found in Montanta USA and the team at Melbourne Museum have been working for over a year with global dino experts to bring this amazing specimen - that comprises of 266 bones and weighing over 1000kg - in its forever home in Melbourne!
