the district makers market, the district docklands
/There is always something happening at The District Docklands and we all know Mamma loves spending time checking out locally made goods at markets and The District Docklands have now partnered up with The Rose St Market crew to bring you a fresh new line-up of stalls!
The location is really quite unique - it is undercover in the Art Collective Precinct Section so it has a great open feel without the worry of the weather impact. It is a great spot to pick up a unique piece to add to your collection from jewellery, homewares, gifts and artisanal goods - there is something for everyone. Even deliciously tasty fresh produce (choccie croissants!) to take home! With vendors changing every week it‘ll be worth returning to check out the latest selection every Sunday.
Mamma and the crew particularly liked the entertainment end of the market - there is a great little area set up for kids to sit down next to a coffee van, cake stall, balloon maker (by donation) and fantastic face painter ($5) PLUS the 'buskers' line up we got to enjoy was fantastic. So you can take a seat have a coffee and a cupcake and enjoy the the entertainment
Mamma's special mentions: Aside from the shops of course - there is heaps to do at The District Docklands. Check out Art Vo - 3D interactive art gallery, The Melbourne Star, O'Briens Skating Arena or the new Chipmunks play centre for starters! Check out our FUN at The District Docklands Page for more inspiration!
