It’s been 64 years since the FIRST Myer Christmas windows and it is still a must on many families Christmas events list.

Each year the windows are dedicated to different theme or story, this year they celebrate The Gumnut Babies! Written and illustrated by our very own May Gibbs - this pretty story has always been a family fave.

This year we get to peer into the life of a gumnut baby as they prepare and plan (and dance!) for the festive season. Watch how the creative and delicate characters come to life behind the window pane in each lovely scene. The best bit of course is the look of wonder and joy on her little ones face. I mean it’s what Christmas is really all about?!? Right!

Mamma loves the additional bonus of the children’s literature focus aiming to encourage a passion of reading. We immediately went to the library to get some storybooks for bedtime!
